DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. — We all know the importance of going green, and this weekend residents will get to see some of the greenest people first hand.
This Saturday, the Douglas County Global Warming Coalition will be hosting the Green and Solar Home Tour.
A bus will take up to 50 people to three energy conscious homes and a business.
A tour guide will discuss green building, energy saving tips and solar technologies. The homes and businesses we go to are really employing cutting edge technology and how to save energy, and how to generate energy on site and reduce their use of fossil fuels,” said Scott McKain.
The tour starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Phoenix Charter School in Roseburg.
If you have not pre-registered, there’s still time. You can contact the global warming coalition for more details.
